About Windsor Palms
Windsor Palms is a community close to Walt Disney World. It was built during 2002 by Pulte Homes and was the first real resort style community. It is gated with a manned gatehouse.
Amenities in the community include an olympic size swimming pool, spa, toddler pool, fitness center, 58 seat movie theatre, games room, video arcade, business center, sundry shop (selling fresh brewed Starbucks coffee) and more.
Windsor Palms has a mix of townhomes, condos and pool homes. It is small enough that every home is within walking distance of the clubhouse. OK, some are closer than others, but the community is still small and intimate.
From Windsor Palms, it is approximately 3 miles to Walt Disney World. You can be parked at Animal Kingdom in approx 7 minutes, EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios are about 12 minutes away and Magic Kingdom is just a little bit further. Most times it can be quicker to drive from Windsor Palms than taking the onsite buses from a Disney hotel!
Easy access to the 192 and the I4 allow for easy access to other attractions such as Universal Studios, Universal Islands of Adventure, Seaworld, Aquatica, Discovery Cove and all the shopping malls and outlets in the Kissimmee Orlando area.
A bit further out, but still within easy access are the beaches at both the Gulf and Atlantic Coasts. Space buffs will love the fact that Kennedy Space Center is only an hour away. (If you are lucky enough to be in the area when there is a shuttle launch, you can either go to see it at KSC (special launch tickets are required) or you should be able to see it from Orlando. Busch Gardens in Tampa is a must do for Rollercoaster fans, but still has plenty for all the family to do.
