On January 2, 2012, one of Universal Studios’ most iconic rides is heading out to sea for the last time. In order to make room for an exciting new attraction, Captain Jake’s Amity Boat Tours is closing. If Jaws is your favorite ride, now is the time for you to visit and experience one final ride of JAWS. Come stay at Avalon on the Windsor Palms Resort, relive your favorite memories and get ready to scream as the Great White Shark takes its last bite.
Summer Concert Series at Universal Studios
One of the great things about staying offsite in a Kissimmee vacation rental home is the fact that you tend to be more independent in your vacation and go to different attractions. If you are staying at Avalon on the Windsor Palms Resort in June or July, you may like to know about the Summer Concert Series at Universal Studios. Every Saturday from June 12th, through July 17th, there are great artists playing. Admission to the concert is free with your admission to Universal Studios.

Up for offer on Ebay is an original Ghostbusters car that was used at Universal Studios. One of only 3 official Ghostbuster cars made. Cool. To top it off, the car is autographed by Ernie Hudson from the original movie.
If I had money to burn, I would love this - just for the fun of it. In one day the bidding went from $200 to $45000 - with a few more days to go in the auction, I wonder what the final bid will be.
